Households looking to save money on their bills by switching broadband provider may want to check out a deal that will see them handed up to £75 for free. Plusnet is currently running this reward offer on selected broadband packages until Wednesday, August 6, so customers will need to be quick in order to snap it up.

Only signing up to certain packages will snag customers their free cash, with a postcode checker on the Plusnet website to see which deals are available for each household. A check by our shopping experts with a North East postcode shows that the £75 Reward Card is up for grabs with the Full Fibre 900 package, which is currently priced at £36.99 per month and offers Plusnet’s fastest ever speed perfect for streaming and gaming enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, a £50 Reward Card is available for customers who sign up to the cheaper Full Fibre 500 package, which initially costs £30.99 per month. However, anyone making the switch should factor in mid-contract price rises outlined on the Plusnet website, with each contract increasing by £3 per month in March 2026 and then by another £3 in March 2027.

Plusnet makes customers aware of the exact amount by which their contracts will increase over their duration, unlike Sky and Now which merely state that their prices are “variable”. However, because of this, Sky and Now customers do have the option to cancel their contracts penalty-free within 30 days if they were not told the amount in advance.

The Plusnet Reward Card is a pre-paid Mastercard card, and eligible customers should be sent instructions on how to claim theirs within two weeks of their new service being activated. Shoppers should be aware that in order to get the card they must submit their claim within two months of this email being received, and once they get the card it must be activated within three months.

It’s worth noting that Plusnet is not the only broadband provider offering free rewards with internet packages. Sky is giving customers who switch to them an £85 prepaid card or shopping voucher when they sign up for selected broadband deals, while new Vodafone customers can claim an £180 voucher towards Tesco, Sainsbury’s or M&S when they choose certain packages.

When it comes to the best broadband provider out there, Plusnet takes the title according to Uswitch, who crowned them as National Broadband Provider of the year and named the Plusnet Fibre package for £25.99 per month as one of the top options on the market. The comparison experts said that the company “sets the standard with reliable speeds, great value, and customer service that goes the extra mile”.

Furthermore, analysis from Which? saw Plusnet ranked as the second best internet service provider in the UK behind Zen Internet. As a Which? Recommended Provider, it was described as “the cream of the crop” with an overall customer satisfaction score of 73%, narrowly beating Utility Warehouse which came in third place.

The Uswitch experts said of Plusnet: “Plusnet broadband deals are known for being great value for money, with fast connection speeds and excellent customer service. The provider even offers full fibre broadband deals, with download speeds up to 900Mbps available for very reasonable prices compared to other ultrafast internet providers.”

It added: “If you’re looking for a well-priced internet contract, a Plusnet broadband deal will likely feature towards the top of your shortlist.”
