Hull KR head coach Willie Peters will get a good look at some of his new signings and the club’s emerging talent this weekend after naming a relatively young side to face Wakefield Trinity.
Rovers have just one pre-season game scheduled before starting the season on Friday February 6 with a Challenge Cup tie against Lock Lane, a match that has now been moved to the holders’ Craven Park home.
Peters will use the solitary run out as a chance to give many of his fringe players a chance to impress, while new signings Karl Lawton, Jordan Dezaria and Jumah Sambou will be among those who get an opportunity to experience running out at Craven Park as a home player for the first time.
Frankie Dearlove, who recently was promoted to the first team squad after impressing with the academy, has also been named alongside a host of players from the academy.

Peters has otherwise opted not to pick the majority of his senior players, some of who could play against Lock Lane, many of which are likely to not feature until the opening Super League game against York.
Hull KR 20-man squad to face Wakefield Trinity: Jack Broadbent, Karl Lawton, Jordan Dezaria, Noah Booth, Bill Leyland, Jack Charles, Louix Gorman, Harvey Horne, Zach Fishwick, Tom Whitehead, Cobie Wainhouse, Declan Murphy, Jumah Sambou, Frankie Dearlove, Joe Thompson, Alfie Woods, Luca Irwin, Henry Hope, Jeylan Hodgson.
