Greater Manchester could see snow once again this month, as Met Office weather maps show flurries could fall across parts of the region next week. This comes as forecasters warn temperatures could drop towards the start of next week.
Over the coming days some parts of Greater Manchester could see snowfall, as Met Office weather maps indicate flurries could fall from the early hours of Tuesday morning (January 27). As temperatures drop to between an average of 3C and 4C across Greater Manchester, weather maps show that large parts of the region could be hit with snow by around 6am on Tuesday morning.
According to Met Office weather maps, surrounding areas of Manchester could see snowfall from 6am on Tuesday morning, including Wigan, Bolton and Rochdale. While snow has been forecast, no weather warnings have been issued.
As the day progresses, some snow fall may be replaced by rain, particularly across western and central parts of Greater Manchester. Around 9am on Tuesday morning, Met Office weather maps show snow across northern parts of Greater Manchester, including across Rochdale.

Towards the later part of Tuesday, snow appears to largely clear across Greater Manchester as a band of snowfall moves north westerly, according to Met Office weather maps.
Into Wednesday (January 28) conditions across Greater Manchester appear to be largely dry as snowfall clears. Temperatures are also expected to rise slightly, with average highs of around 7C and 8C.
Issuing a forecast for the UK from Monday to Wednesday next week, The Met Office said: “Remaining unsettled throughout, with bands of rain moving north and east across the country, particularly on Tuesday when another deep area of low pressure approaches from the southwest. Feeling cold.”
