Soungoutou Magassa and Kyle Walker-Peters joined West Ham United from Southampton and Monaco respectively in the summer of 2025.
However, a seriously big claim has just been made about both Magassa and Walker-Peters, only six months into their West Ham careers
As things stand, Magassa and Walker-Peters are back-up options for Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is West Ham’s first choice right-back while Mateus Fernandes, Tomas Soucek and Freddie Potts are all ahead of Magassa in the central midfield pecking order.
Summerville, Todibo and Mavropanos are firing at last!

Magassa has already been linked with an exit from West Ham, in spite of showing a few exciting glimpses of what he has to offer.
Meanwhile, Walker-Peters has been well below average for West Ham since joining the east London outfit six months ago.
Now a truly stunning claim has been made about both players.
Claim made about West Ham duo Soungoutou Magassa and Kyle Walker-Peters
Soungoutou Magassa and Kyle Walker-Peters may not have been playing regularly for the Hammers recently.
However, it’s fair to argue that both players will still have key roles to play for West Ham periodically throughout the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
That’s what makes the latest claim about the Hammers duo so surprising.

Italian football journalist Matteo Moretto suggested that West Ham pair Soungoutou Magassa and Kyle Walker-Peters are targets for Fiorentina, during an appearance on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel.
In fact, he claims that the Serie A side are actually ‘in talks’ to sign both players from the Hammers in the January transfer window.
Both Walker-Peters and Magassa leaving West Ham before the January transfer window closes would be a big shock.
Not necessarily because either of them are indispensable to the club but more so because Nuno needs more bodies through the door at the London Stadium as it is.
West Ham cannot afford to let Magassa and Walker-Peters leave
The Hammers are battling really hard to avoid relegation right now.
And the West Ham squad is short on numbers and, indeed, in quality.

Allowing Magassa and Walker-Peters to leave at this stage of the January transfer window would be a crazy move from West Ham.
David Sullivan surely won’t sanction an exit for either player.
If Walker-Peters left to join Fiorentina, Nuno would then have no cover for Wan-Bissaka at right-back.
Meanwhile, Guido Rodriguez has just left the club while Paqueta is close to moving on as well.
West Ham are already extremely stretched when it comes to central midfield options, and Magassa will very much be needed between now and the end of the season.
