Høgh followed up his brace last week to beat Manchester City with an improvised close range stabbed finish in the 59th minute for his third goal of the group phase.
Norwich have been in discussions with Glimt officials around a £7m package as they look to add a striker ahead of Monday’s domestic deadline.
But Bodo now face a lucrative two-legged tie at the end of February, against either Real Madrid or Inter Milan, and their club’s managing director, Frode Thomassen, made it clear ahead of the crucial midweek trip to the Spanish capital they were under no pressure to sell.
City are believed to have two other striker targets operating in mainland Europe if they fail in their pursuit of Høgh over the coming days. The 25-year-old is currently under contract until 2029.
Celtic were the latest to be linked with the Dane earlier this week, who is also on the radar of Premier League Fulham, and clubs at the top end of the Championship.
The Norwegian transfer window only opens on January 30 and runs until March 26, with the Eliteserien set to begin in mid-March.

Thomassen would not be drawn on Norwich’s interest when he appeared in recent days on the GiveMeSport ‘Market Madness’ podcast.
“We don’t have to sell anyone but if the offer is good and the player would like to go of course we will judge it and see,” said Thomassen. “I think Kasper enjoys playing in Bodo but we will see. Our focus right now is on Madrid. We never comment on links. We won’t focus on the day tomorrow.
“Kasper is a leading star. As a person he’s quite special.” 🗣️

“There are two big ways in football to earn money. One of them is performance on the pitch and one is to sell players. For us it has been important to focus on the performance part and having a strong team. Our main goal has not been to develop players to sell them. At the moment we are a good team.
“From the outside people see the players when they play. Kasper was the top scorer in the Europa League when we made a semi-final last spring but he is a really good footballer and a really good striker.
“But as a person he is quite special. A good team mate who carries good values and he is one of the players – when the culture is very important for the club you want the right people on the pitch and in the staff – it is essential, and Kasper is a leading star for that.”
Bodo had to win in Madrid to finish inside the top 24 places in the revised Champions League format. Kjetil Knutsen’s side ended up in 23rd after the completion of th group phase, with nine points from their eight games.
Høgh has spent two years with Bodo, scoring 43 goals in 83 appearances, and won the Norwegian title in 2024. He was the joint top scorer in the Europa League last season in Bodo’s run to the semi-finals before they lost to Tottenham 5-1 on aggregate.
Norwich have until 7pm on Monday to complete their January transfer window business. Ali Ahmed, Paris Maghoma and Manchester United loanee, Harry Amass, have so far joined Philippe Clement’s squad.
