Wild at Bull in Burford ranked 71st on SquareMeal’s list of top dining destinations across the UK.
SquareMeal praised the venue as “the most striking” of three restaurants, highlighting its “fully immersive chef’s-table experience where everything is cooked over coals right in front of you.”
The reviewer said: “Every aspect of the hotel feels carefully, meticulously curated, from the pick-up in a Land Rover Defender to the generous spread of dining and drinking options – three restaurants and two bars in all.”
Wild was also commended for its “excellent” wine pairings, keeping things lively with Pet Nats, nimble whites and chilled red.
SquareMeal concluded: “There is nothing quite like this restaurant in the United Kingdom.”
Included in the top 100 list was Wilson’s in Bristol, Skof in Manchester and Vraic in Guernsey.
