Officers, PC Grant and PC Turle were called to the scene after the swan was spotted wandering on the busy road in Poole.
The officers managed to safely corner the swan into a neighbouring property while they contacted Moyles Court Wildlife Rescue for assistance.

Volunteers from the wildlife charity arrived quickly and, although the swan appeared uninjured, it was taken to their premises for a full health check as a precaution.
Once assessed, the swan is expected to be released into a more suitable environment with access to water.
Officers thanked the volunteers at Moyles Court Wildlife Rescue for their swift response and ongoing work supporting local wildlife.
The non-profit organisation cares for a wide range of animals, including birds, deer, hedgehogs and waterfowl, and relies on public support to continue its work.
