Danish outlet Tipsbladet confirmed late on Friday night the clubs had reached an agreement for the 21-year-old, who was left out of the Danish Super Liga club’s warm up game earlier in the evening against Rosenborg in Portgual.

City switched their focus to Toure in recent days after tracking Bodo/Glimt forward Kasper Høgh.

As first reported by Danish outlet Bold , Toure was one of three options City were actively exploring to bolster Philippe Clement’s squad ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

The pacy forward was initially expected to feature for Randers in their Atlantic Cup tune up ahead of the mid-winter break return, but left out with negotiations at an advanced stage with City officials.

The Canaries are in the market for a striking addition amid a continued standoff with Josh Sargent, although any pursuit of another forward option is thought to be separate to that saga with Norwich determined to continue their hardline stance. Toronto are the American’s preferred destination, but are yet to up their offer.

Born a Liberian refugee in Guinea, Toure began his career with South Australian based side Croydon Kings before joining A League side Adelaide United in 2020. He made his senior debut in February of that year in a 2-1 win over Brisbane Roar, becoming the third youngest debutant in the league’s history.

Toure moved to French side Reims in July 2022, working under former Southampton boss Will Still. He netted eight times in 15 matches for their second side before moving to Paris FC on loan.

A move to Denmark followed in July 2025 with Randers signing him for €250k. Toure has scored 12 goals and recorded nine assists in the 48 appearances.

An Australian international, Toure has made eight appearances for his country, netting twice. His international debut came at Wembley against England, when he came off the bench for the final exchanges of a 1-0 friendly defeat back in October 2023.

Clement confirmed at his pre-match press conference that he was working in lockstep with sporting director Ben Knapper and head of recruitment Lee Dunn to get deals done ahead of Monday’s 7pm deadline.

“In an ideal world. Yes. Everybody’s really busy to get things over the line,” he said. “It’s about what is possible in the transfer market for this moment, for the prices that the club can pay.

“We had a lot of talks this month. So I will be also very happy that it’s February, because honestly, I start to get tired, also because there’s a lot of extra work to be done next to all the games and everything that we’re doing here. But I want also the best squad possible.

“I want that we can get a few over the line. It’s going to be crucial also where our ambitions are for the next few months, and then, in summary, to push on. But we need to raise the quality in the squad and the depth in the squad in the next few days. Also to have our ambitions for the next part of the season.”
