Hull FC take on Wigan Warriors this Sunday.
New Hull FC signing Jake Arthur.
John Cartwright has selected a 24-man Hull FC squad to face Wigan Warriors on Sunday afternoon. The Black and Whites head coach has included two more new signings with Jake Arthur and Joe Batchelor to feature for the first time.
They are joined by Sam Lisone, Arthur Romano, Connor Bailey, and ex-Wiganer Harvie Hill, who all played against Huddersfield Giants last week. Elsewhere, Cartwright has selected several of his big guns for the club’s second and final pre-season clash, including Will Pryce, Zak Hardaker, Jed Cartwright, Davy Litten, Lewis Martin, and Harvey Barron.
There are also first appearances of the year for Tom Briscoe, Amir Bourouh, Cade Cust, and Ligi Sao, who is set for his first game of rugby league in nearly a year after recovering from a serious knee injury. As for youth, Will Hutchinson, Callum Kemp, Lloyd Kemp, and Will Kirby are all selected, and joined by reserves winger Elliot Middlemas.
There is no Liam Knight, with the prop copping a head knock in training. He is currently going through the protocols to return to play, as is Matty Laidlaw, who failed his HIA last week. Elsewhere, Hull aren’t risking Aidan Sezer (shoulder) or John Asiata (hamstring), with Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), James Bell (knee), Logan Moy (calf), Joe Ward (ACL), Roman Dawson (ACL), and Joe Phillips (leg) all ruled out.
