Is T20 World Cup Boycott Threat A Drama?This is not the first time the PCB has created a tense atmosphere before an ICC event. Previously, they threatened to boycott the 2023 World Cup trip to India after the Asia Cup was shifted out of Pakistan. They did the same when India’s ICC Champions Trophy matches were moved to the UAE. On both occasions, though, the threat turned out to be shallow, and the Pakistan cricket team participated in the events. The T20 World Cup boycott threat seems to follow the same pattern. More so, the boycott threat is mainly speculative as PCB has not yet officially informed ICC about their plans, making their antics look more like a gimmick.
