Brand Beckham is under fire after their eldest son Brooklyn took to Instagram to make a number of explosive allegations against his parents.

David and Victoria‘s firstborn made a number of blistering allegations against his parents – accusing his mum of hijacking his wedding dance and dancing ‘inappropriately on him’, and of trying to ruin his marriage to Nicola Peltz. He also claimed that “Brand Beckham comes first”, explaining that he’d suffered from anxiety for most of his life. “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” he said. “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

It’s by no means the first time that David and Victoria have faced public scrutiny. The couple, who have been married since 1999, have weathered their fair share of storms, including one incident which saw Victoria punch her husband in a fit of rage.

At the time, the star was five-months pregnant with their first-born, Brooklyn. She received a call from David telling her that he was being accused of kissing someone. Over the coming days, a slew of women sold stories claiming they had been intimate with David – claims he denied. For Victoria’s part, even though she believed him, she was distraught.

“David and me had been talking and talking. Before the match, half-time, after the match. And he says we’ll talk more tonight,” she wrote in her 2001 autobiography, Learning To Fly. “So in walked David that night after the match, and I went straight up to him and just slung at him, punched him in the face. Bang, bang, bang. I hadn’t planned it. I had never punched anybody before. Just instinct. I just felt angry and hurt.

“My emotions are like a seesaw. It’s a total torment, like torture. If you’d said to me: OK, here’s the switch to end it all, I’d have pulled the switch. I just wanted out, I couldn’t take it any more.”

As the women continued to come forward, the Beckhams were eventually able to put a stop to it over one, provable detail. One lapdancer at Stringfellows claimed she danced for him before he invited her to a game. But David had never even been to Stringfellows and was able to get an injunction and later, a payout from the now defunct News of the World.

The couple jetted off to Lake Como in Italy to work things out, and welcomed son Brooklyn before tying the knot four months after his birth on July 4, 1999. They held their £1.5million ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin, with their nuptials featuring actual thrones.

It’s not the only time the Beckhams have faced infidelity claims. In April 2004, David’s former personal assistant Rebecca Loos alleged that she had had an affair with the footballer during his time at Real Madrid. He denied the claims but he and Victoria spoke about the toll the scandal took on their marriage in their Netflix documentary about David’s life both on and off the pitch.

Fans were shocked to see the former Man Utd star address the alleged infidelity for the first time publicly, but even more so to hear Victoria break her silence on the scandal. Speaking about the claims for the first time in almost two decades, she said of her marriage: “We were against each other.”

In an intense moment in the series, director Fisher Stevens inquired how they coped. “There were some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with,” David admitted. “It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.”

Victoria admitted in her solo interview that she and husband David have faced the ‘hardest times’ during their stint in Spain. She confessed: “100 percent. It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us.

“And here’s the thing; we were against each other, if I’m being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together. We were connected. We had each other.”

It comes after Rebecca – who worked as David’s PA in 2003 – addressed Brooklyn’s recent outburst, and was quick to show her support. “So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally,” Rebecca wrote in the comment section of a recent Instagram post in response to a user who brought up Brooklyn’s statement. “I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!”

And when another user commented, “Fascinating admission from Brooklyn,” the 48-year-old replied alongside a red heart, “The truth always comes out.”
