The former Wire outside-back was sin-binned during the game at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and as a result, he has been handed disciplinary points by the RFL’s Match Review Panel.

Towards the end of the first half, Leigh full-back Bailey Hodgson raced to keep a long Marc Sneyd kick in play but his efforts were deemed unsuccessful by the officials to hand Warrington an attacking set.

In the aftermath, however, referee Tom Grant brandished a yellow card in Brand’s direction for dissent, meaning the Leopards were forced to finish the half a man light with Jake Thewlis scoring Wire’s second try during this period.

Now, Brand has been hit with a Grade B charge of disputing a decision and had three penalty points added to his 2026 record – still below the threshold to trigger a suspension – as well as picking up a fine.

Leigh hooker Edwin Ipape faces no further action, however, for either of the two challenges on Wire full-back Cai Taylor-Wray that saw him penalised.

The Papua New Guinea international was first pulled up for a high tackle on the youngster before later being penalised for a dangerous lift, but the Match Review Panel have deemed both incidents unworthy of further review.

No Warrington players have been charged following their 16-12 victory.
