The remaining five round-of-16 matches at the WTA Ostrava Open will be played on day four. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our prediction for every match on the slate on what should be an entertaining day of tennis in Czechia, but who will advance?

WTA Ostrava Day 4 Predictions
Tamara Korpatsch vs Emiliana Arango

Head-to-head: first meeting

Tamara Korpatsch won her opening match in straight sets, while Emiliano Arango received a bye into the second round as the second seed at the WTA Ostrava Open. Expect many lengthy rallies between two women who do not strike the ball with overwhelming pace. Arango relies as heavily on defensive skills as anyone on the WTA Tour. However, the Colombian utilises that style well, and she might well be more consistent than Korpatsch in what looks like being a close contest.

Prediction: Arango in 3

Rebecca Sramkova vs Linda Fruhvirtova

Head-to-head: Sramkova 1-0 Fruhvirtova

The 20-year-old Linda Fruhvirtova was widely tipped for significant success as a teenager but slipped off the radar somewhat in the past 12 months. Still. the Czech has made a decent start to 2026, including a win over Lulu Sun at the Australian Open, and should be coming into this match with reasonable confidence. But that confidence might prove to be misplaced. Sramkova’s base level is more stable and her game more reliable overall at this stage in their careers, whereas Fruhvirtova has a habit of following a good performance with a poor one.

Prediction: Sramkova in 2

Fiona Ferro vs Nikola Bartunkova

Head-to-head: first meeting

Nikola Bartunkova backed up her excellent Australian Open campaign, including a triumph against Abu Dhabi Open champion Belinda Bencic, with a win over the third seed Anna Blinkova in Ostrava. If the 19-year-old plays near that level again, she will beat Fiona Ferro. The young star is likely to progress and not drop her level enough to give Ferro a chance.

Prediction: Bartunkova in 2

Diane Parry vs Panna Udvardy

Head-to-head: Parry 2-0 Udvardy

Diane Parry is more talented than Panna Udvardy, but starts as the lower-ranked player due to struggling since returning from injury problems last year. Despite that, the Frenchwoman is backed to overcome this challenge. Udvardy’s slightly passive game does not naturally set her up to exploit Parry’s one-handed backhand – which is usually a target for the Frenchwoman’s opponents. That gives Parry an ideal chance to consistently hit forehands and control the rallies.

Prediction: Parry in 3

Katie Boulter vs Viktorija Golubic

Head-to-head: Golubic 2-1 Boulter

Viktorija Golubic beat Katie Boulter when they last played a few months ago. Boulter, like Parry, is better than her opponent when playing well. What can make a difference in this match-up is Golubic’s craftiness. The Swiss player’s variety can disrupt Boulter’s rhythm. I am not confident in the Briton’s ability to handle that and make the correct decisions.

Prediction: Golubic in 3
