Voyage Financial Planning, owned by Chris Mills, has announced that it will soon operate from new premises on Latimer Street, formerly known as Angel Floss, a sweet shop that closed in November.
Mr Mills has 20 years’ experience within financial services and started his new chapter after realising that few independent financial firms have a high street presence and many people find themselves with nowhere to walk in to when they need advice.
He said: “My wife Amy and I, along with our children, spend many weekends and the odd days coming into Romsey, so it became the most logical, natural fit for the business to begin and grow from.

“By moving into the exact shop I pointed out to my wife, it will give us that high street presence and base I have always wanted. We look forward to introducing ourselves to the Romsey community and adding value to a wonderful town that has so many great features.”
The business has rapidly expanded over three years, starting as a one man band and now a team of six ,the move to Latimer Street will mark an important milestone for the company.
Mr Mills has highlighted the importance of educating people of all ages on money and finances, an important topic that the business owner believes is overlooked in schools.
He also said the firm aims to become a visible, accessible resource for the community, offering a welcoming environment where people can discuss their financial concerns over a coffee.
