Throughout most of last year, it felt like Liam Gallagher was pretty much living on the stage as he and his brother took part in their eagerly-awaited Oasis reunion tour, which saw them spending months playing around the world. But fans at a different gig this week were able to see a different side to the singer as he was spotted enjoying himself amongst them in the crowd.

Those who headed to the Miles Kane gig at the Roundhouse music venue in London’s Chalk Farm on Friday evening (January 30) were surprised to see the 53-year-old in his element as he enjoyed the show. The Burnage star was at in attendance to support his son Gene, 24, and his band Villanelle, who were on the bill supporting the Birkenhead performer.

The heavy indie band have been making a name for themselves with word-of-mouth buzz and favourable reviews already comparing them to the likes of Nirvana, The Who and Deftones. Led by Gene on vocalist and guitar, he’s joined by guitarist Ben Taylor and bassist Jack Schiavo. The three-piece had also supported Liam during his Definitely Maybe 20th Anniversary tour in 2024.

The Oasis frontman was spotted within the VIP section during Mile’s London show as he watched his youngest son’s band play. 18-year-old Cameron Doran attended the show with a group of friends and spotted Liam in the separate area of the crowd and decided to try his luck meeting the star mid-way through the show.

Cameron, who plays in the band Southern Heights, was accompanied by his band members Liam Conway, 18, Charlie Branch, 18, George Wells, 19, and Ben Hasler, also 19, as they tried to get closer to Liam. The teens started their antics by shouting over to the Oasis icon, who is said to have replied to the five pals: “Come on then.”

Despite initially being held back by security, the youngsters managed to get through and swarm Liam, who was described as being up for the interaction. After being escorted away by bouncers, the singer signed a CD cover to make for a memorable meeting. Luckily, the group also got to spend the rest of the gig in the VIP section, where they met Gene, 25, and Liam’s other son, Lennon Gallagher, 26.

“We looked up to the VIP section and saw what looked like Liam Gallagher,” Cameron, from Southend, told Jam Press and NeedToKnow. “After a while, we confirmed it was definitely Liam and were determined to get in. In our heads, we like Miles Kane but Liam is our priority at this point, so if we got kicked out in an attempt to get to him, oh well.

“We then started to shout his name and he heard, looked over and started shouting ‘come on then’ to us as he can see security are holding us back. But we ran through and got our pictures and videos before security got us – and he signed a CD for us.”
