Hull FC ran out big winners at Salford – and the new half-back was at the heart of it.

Hull FC ran out 60-0 winners at Salford RLFC in the Challenge Cup on Friday night. The Black and Whites crossed over for 11 tries in total, with Davy Litten scoring a hat-trick. Here are the ratings.
Davy Litten – The first hat-trick of his senior career, Litten, playing at full-back, probed all night and was in support to finish his tries. He ran the ball strong in an encouraging and workmanlike display. 8
Harvey Barron – The winger ran well in the backfield, making plenty of ground, and scored a good try after a delicious Arthur pass. However, as joked by John Cartwright post-match , he’s now banned from goal kicks after a wayward attempt at the end of the game. 7
Zak Hardaker – The centre had the kicking duties from the tee and landed eight of his 10 attempts. Left the field later on as planned. Solid account. 7
Arthur Romano – Another intriguing display from the Frenchman after standing out in pre-season. He scored a debut try and made some good surges forward. One to watch. 7
Tom Briscoe – The veteran winger made his 450th career appearance and did little wrong. Did well returning the ball and got out of some tricky situations. 7
Jake Arthur – Arguably Hull’s best on the night. Controlled the game. Kicked well. Took pressure off Sezer. Ran the ball. Got involved. Scored a try. Assisted others. Really encouraging. 8
Aidan Sezer – Back fit after shoulder surgery and got Hull ticking. Ready for another big year. 7
Ligi Sao – A welcome presence again with big carries and minutes. Looks fit and ready to go. 7
Amir Bourouh – Enjoyed getting out of some rucks and got a try from a scamper close to the line. Did well. 7
Harvie Hill – The prop played two decent stints. Made plenty of metres and one second half break. There might be a few choice words if he dummies and goes himself again with that kind of support, mind. 7
Joe Batchelor – Another with a debut try off a well worked move. He was solid. 7
Jed Cartwright – Left the field after 15 seconds following a nasty head clash. He was taken to hospital but is now on the mend. He’ll miss next week’s Super League opener. N/A
Yusuf Aydin – Went strong at Wigan last week and was so again here. He scored the first try, charging down a Salford kick, and continued that effort level throughout. Ran hard. 7
Connor Bailey – Came on after 15 seconds and was solid. A good hit out for him and maybe a chance to start next week. 7
Cade Cust – Added some energy to Hull, and scored two tries. Played both hooker and half-back and did well. Hull got better when he came on. 8
Brad Fash – Did his job with no fuss as always. Solid. 7
Sam Lisone – Some big carries. Broke loads of tackles and looked strong. Like all of Hull’s new boys, he was encouraging. Roll on next week. 7
