Avid tennis fan Souness crossed paths with women’s world number one tennis star Aryna Sabalenka and posted a picture of them together on Instagram.
The pair were all smiles as he joked that they could be the “new mixed doubles partnership” at Wimbledon this year.

Fans of the two sporting heroes were quick to flock to the comments, one said: “What a pairing!!!”
Another joked: “Great pic sir, I’m sure she will let you be ball boy.”
While a third added: “What an absolute winner!! Brilliant athlete, aggressive, Strong character never gives in, very talented, oh and there’s souness anaw.”

Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian professional tennis player from Minsk and a multiple Grand Slam singles champion who has established herself as one of the dominant figures on the WTA Tour in the 2020s.
Known for her powerful serve, aggressive baseline hitting and combative on-court presence, she first rose to world No. 1 in singles in 2023 and has also held the No. 1 ranking in doubles.
