Porthcawl man charged after woman’s body found in freezer

A man has been charged after a woman in her 80s was found dead in a freezer.

South Wales Police attended a property in Poplar Crescent, Porthcawl, Bridgend county, on Tuesday following concerns about the welfare of a woman.

It is understood she was found dead in a freezer there.

Christopher Phillips, 60, from Porthcawl has been charged with preventing a lawful burial.
