At the event, MLSS (Midlands Langar Seva Society) was in attendance to thank and recognise the £25,000 raised by the East London community for the Punjab flood relief campaign.

The funds will help families in the region rebuild their homes and lives after the floods.

Randhir Singh Heer from MLSS said: “We would like to thank Jag Sahota and the East London community for their generosity. Every penny of this money will help families devastated and move them from survival to stability and will make a huge difference to people in desperate need.”

Ilford South MP Jas Athwal and Redbridge Council leader Kam Rai also attended the event to show their support.
