Grenergy, a Spain-based renewable energy developer, has secured a 20 year solar CfD contract for its Fibden hybrid project in the UK, through a NESO auction. The Fibden Farm Solar & BESS installation includes 40 MW / 53 MWp of PV capacity and 160 MWh of storage located in Worcestershire. The agreement sets a CPI-indexed strike price of GBP 65.23 per MWh (~ $88.06 per MWh) covering 80% of solar electricity output. It guarantees a minimum allocation of GBP 55 million (~ $74.25 million), equivalent to EUR 63 million (~ $74.34 million) in revenues over the term. The Fibden hybrid installation is set to begin operations between March 2028 and February 2029, with storage aligned to ancillary and capacity markets.
