Super League round two is complete, and despite the 2026 competition only being in it’s infancy, there are plenty of injuries worries across every club.

The likes of Toulouse Olympique and Bradford Bulls pulled off strong wins, whilst St Helens managed to find a way past Leigh Leopards.

Wakefield Trinity took a marginal victory over Huddersfield Giants, whilst Leeds Rhinos found their form in a solid performance over York Knights.

Hull FC’s weekend was far from their usual standards, as they were overpowered by a dominant Wigan side. Their weekend was made worse with star man Will Pryce going off the field with a knee injury.

A full Super League injury update after round two

Bradford Bulls:

Jayden Nikorima will miss the next few weeks after picking up a calf injury prior to the season opener.

Following their round one defeat to Hull FC, the Bulls lost more bodies. Jayden Okunbor and Dan Russell both had to leave the field.

Haggerty confirmed after the round two game against Catalans that the pair are looking at three months on the sidelines.

Joe Keyes didn’t feature in the win over the Dragons, with the half-back suffering from back pain in training.

Castleford Tigers:

Zac Cini and Semi Valemei are both nursing soft tissue injuries, and the former NRL pair will be monitored on a week-to-week basis. The club also confirmed that fellow three-quarter Louis Senior picked up a syndesmosis injury in the pre-season defeat to St Helens, and will be out for the foreseeable future.

Brock Greacen missed the defeat to Wigan Warriors and the trip to Toulouse after picking up a training injury.

Blake Taaffe will miss the rest of 2026 campaign after picking up an ACL injury in defeat to Wigan.

Catalans Dragons:

New recruit Manase Kaho will miss the entire Super League season after suffering an ACL injury in the warm-up fixture against Toulouse Olympique. Back rower Franck Maria will miss the next three months after suffering a herniated disc.

Huddersfield Giants:

The injury nightmare from 2025 is seemingly continuing into the new season for the Giants.

Adam Swift (hamstring) and Niall Evalds will both miss the next five weeks, whilst Joe Greenwood (ankle) and Harry Rushton will be out for nine weeks.

Former Leeds man Liam Sutcliffe will miss the next three months.

Adam Clune was missing from the defeat to Wakefield, but no update has been given on the Giants skipper.

Hull FC:

Will Pryce limped off in agony during the defeat to Wigan, after taking a nasty looking knee injury. No prognosis has been given at this stage. Joe Batchelor also picked up a calf injury during the trip to the Brick Community Stadium.

Jake Arthur is yet to feature in Super League after picking up a knock in the Challenge Cup win over Salford. However, boss John Cartwright could bring the half-back back this wee.

Herman Ese’ese is hoping to be back for the Good Friday derby against Hull KR, whilst John Asiata, James Bell  and Zak Hardaker are not far away and could potentially return in the next couple of weeks.

Hull KR:

Full-back Arthur Mourgue has picked up a pectoral injury in the World Club Challenge, and whilst it is not yet confirmed, he is not expected to travel with the squad to Las Vegas.

Dean Hadley also fractured his eye socket in the win over Brisbane, but reports elsewhere have linked him with being on the plane to the Sin City.

Jordan Dezaria remains out of action as he recovers from the hamstring injury he picked up in training, whilst Lee Kershaw is still nursing his ACL recovery.

Leeds Rhinos:

After welcoming back five players last week, including Jake Connor and Maika Sivo, the Rhinos’ injury list is looking a lot healthier than it was seven days ago.

Mikolaj Oledzki will miss the next 3-5 weeks with a rib injury, whilst Ash Handley has made the trip to Las Vegas, but it will depend on training this week as to whether he will make his return.

The club’s long-term absentees include Alfie Edgell (thigh, late April) and Max Simpson (ACL, out for season).

Leigh Leopards:

Umyla Hanley has missed the first two rounds after picking up an A/C sprain in the Challenge Cup. Speaking pre-St Helens, boss Adrian Lam said that the centre was currently at about 60%.

David Armstrong suffered a set-back in his ACL recovery and will now return to the side at about round eight, should he stay on track. Aaron Pene will be hoping to return this week after suffering a hamstring injury in pre-season,

St Helens:

The club’s injury concerns continue to rise, with two more players going down in the victory over Leigh. Both Jonny Lomax and Nene MacDonald had to leave the field, with Lomax potentially suffering a fractured arm and MacDonald picking up a quad issue.

On top of that, Matty Lees took a nasty tackle in the Cup win over Workington that led to him limping off the field and not returning. The England international is set to be out for around 12 weeks, with his return coming around early May.

Jack Welsby is also on the sidelines, after the full-back dislocated his shoulder in defeat to Warrington Wolves and will be out for around four months. Mark Percival is yet to play in 2026, as he remains sidelined.

Toulouse Olympique:

Whilst the French side came away from the Wakefield victory injury-free, the club do have a couple of long-term injury casualties that are awaiting their return – including hooker Calum Gahan. The Australian has been missing since March with an Achilles injury. He is hoping to return around May.

Romeo Tropis failed a HIA in the win over Castleford, so he will be unavailable next week.

Wakefield Trinity:

England international Tom Johnstone is still a few weeks away from returning, after having surgery on his knee post-Ashes.

Mason Lino picked up a hamstring injury in training and missed the win over Huddersfield, whilst Caius Faatili also didn’t feature.

Warrington Wolves:

Matty Ashton will be looking to return in the coming weeks, as he makes his full recovery from an ACL tear. The England international will be hoping for a big season, especially with a place at the World Cup at stake in October.

Aaron Lindop and Oli Leyland remain out with the same issue as Ashton, whilst James Bentley missed the victory over St Helens after suffering a knock in the Challenge Cup game the previous week.

Wigan Warriors:

Oliver Wilson is out for the full 2026 season after an Achilles tear in training, whilst Abbas Miski joins him in the medical room. The Lebanese international went under the knife to repair a torn hamstring following the Grand Final defeat to Hull KR.

Jake Wardle will be out for 3-4 months with an MCL injury picked up in round one.

York Knights:

Forward Kieran Hudson picked up a knee injury in the Challenge Cup win over Barrow, and is still recovering, though Mark Applegarth hopes the former Castleford man won’t be out for too long.

Jesse Dee missed the defeat to Leeds Rhinos, whilst Sam Wood suffered a knock in the second half of the contest, but managed to carry on for the remainder of the game.
