The event, organised primarily by the club’s games team, included a meal, speeches and the presentation of 33 awards to competition winners.

Steve Wall, from Barrow Golf Club, said: “The presentation evening is an important event in our golfing calendar and brings to an end an extremely successful 2025 season for the club.

“It was great to see so many people here including our guests, and our sponsors who were there for the first time.

“It all added up to an excellent night.”

Representatives included Ian Campbell of Ulverston, Brian Evans of Dunnerholme, and Steve Clawley, who attended on behalf of Furness captain Jon Clarke.

Guest speaker Tony Vino also addressed guests.

It was also the first year that all of the club’s main sponsors were invited to attend the event.

Awards were presented by Mr Blackburn and Ms Brook, who is managing director of RF Miller & Co.

Ms Brook said: “I would like to thank Barrow Golf Club for hosting such a well-organised and enjoyable prize presentation.

“As the club’s main sponsor, it was a pleasure to be able to attend for the first time and to be invited to present the evening’s awards.
