Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks villain Clare Devine has finally confessed the truth about her illness, telling her sister Grace Black that she has been lying about having cancer.

Viewers will know that Clare recently revealed that her cancer had returned, leaving many villagers questioning whether she was telling the truth.

In today’s episode, Rex Gallagher changed his statement, naming Clare and DI Banks as joint leaders in the trafficking operation and naming Grace as an accomplice.

Unaware that undercover police were watching Grace’s flat while Donny Clark and Dodger Savage waited nearby, Grace and Clare attempted to have fun in the house.

On her way out, Clare discovered the undercover officer and came back to warn Grace. Hearing the undercover policeman might be compromised, Dodger raced to the flat but Grace and Clare were gone.

Meanwhile, Jacob Omari told Frankie Osborne, Dillon Ray and Vicky Grant that he was moving to Aberdeen to stay safe and hide from Clare. Angry at the pain Clare and Grace were still causing, Dillon said: “Those witches really screwed up all our relationships, didn’t they?”

Later, Clare and Grace hid out in an ambulance surrounded by police. Grace pleaded with Clare to do the right thing but was unable to get her sister to feel remorse.

In the heated moment, Clare admitted that she had been lying about the cancer, shouting: “Wake up Grace. I don’t have cancer.”

“You lied to me. You looked at me every day and lied,” Grace said, adding: “Were you even taking that medication?”

Grace handed herself into the police and Dodger arrested Clare while the village watched on. Unable to pretend Grace is a good person, Sienna Blake told Curtis Royle that his mum hurts children.

With Grace and Clare arrested, Vicky, Dillon, Frankie and Jacob celebrated and Jacob agreed to stay with them.

Elsewhere, in prison, Tom Cunningham told Froggy about Grace and Clare’s arrest, leaving him to make a call in which Froggy said: “Looks like we’ve got a problem.”
