Super League disciplinary

The referee appointments have been made for round three of Super League, with fixtures including Wigan Warriors and Leigh Leopards.

The officials for the clash between Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos were confirmed yesterday, with Jack Smith overseeing the tie at Allegiant Stadium, with Tom Grant on video referee duties.

Now, the six remaining fixtures have had the referees announced, and a decision has been made regarding the fitness of experienced official Chris Kendall.

Kendall misses out of the on-field role once again as he continues his recovery from injury but he will be in the video referee booth for three matches, working Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the first of his assignments being the Wigan Warrors clash with Leigh Leopards, supporting Liam Moore.

Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield Giants are the only sides that are 0-2 at this stage, but that will change on Friday evening, as both clubs look to get off the mark in 2026. Young referee Matty Lynn will take the whistle at The Jungle, with the experienced Chris Kendall on video support.

York Knights travel to injury-ridden Hull FC, as they look to do a number on both Hull clubs in the same month. Overseeing that game will be James Vella, whilst Liam Rush will be the video referee.

Warrington Wolves take on Wakefield Trinity in a match that will be controlled by Liam Rush and Chris Kendall, who takes on his third and final assigment this weekend. Also that night, Catalans Dragons host St Helens and Aaron Moore will take charge in Perpignan, alongside his brother Liam on video referee duties.

Finally, Bradford Bulls host Toulouse Olympique at Odsal. Both sides have had a brilliant start to life in the top flight, with the Bulls defeating Catalans, and Toulouse beating both Wakefield and Castleford. Scott Mikalauskas will have the whistle on Sunday, and will be supported by James Vella.
