In the best news, season 1 winner Bob Mortimer will return to defend his crown. Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty will also be back as hosts.

Mortimer won the first season, beating Lou Sanders, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Joe Wilkinson, Richard Ayoade and Harriet Kemsley.

Back in November, Mortimer spoke about the new season, sharing that someone will suffer the same fate as Daisy May Cooper in season 1 when she was eliminated by a song.

“In the new series, I think I do get rid of someone via the gift of song. I think so, yeah,” Mortimer said, while hinting that some magic may help disappear another contestant.

Mortimer also shared that the cast never expected the series to be the huge success that it became.

The comedian said they “absolutely [did] not” expect the show to be a hit, adding: “That’s probably the reason a lot of us did it. We thought, ‘Well, no one’s gonna watch it'”
