Professionally filmed live footage of Trivium‘s August 08th set at the 2025 ‘Bloodstock Open Air‘ festival in Walton-on-Trent, UK went up online this past Friday, February 20th. Footage of the 17-song set has sent ripples throughout the band’s fan community, though not for the quality of the performance. Instead, comments across the YouTube upload, Reddit fan community and even the band’s socials have decried the apparent intentional lack of any close-up shots on the band’s former drummer Alex Bent.
Trivium and Bent parted ways in October of 2025, seemingly indicating they were on amicable terms at the time of the split. The below newly shared official footage of that set has Bent relegated to the background, with the editing seemingly indicating the lack of any tight shots of Bent was intentional.
A sampling of some comments on the below YouTube upload alone include, “Justice for Bent“, “The Alex Bent erasure is crazy”, “Huge disrespect to Alex who made this show what it was”, “They did Alex so dirty here” and numerous more. Some of those comments have racked up hundreds of likes on their own.
Alex Rudinger has since stepped up behind the drum kit for Trivium, replacing Bent as the band’s sixth drummer to date.
