RANGERS Academy can today announce Kyle Glasgow has signed his first professional contract.

The exciting and highly-rated attacker, 16, has progressed through the age groups at the club and featured for the Under-19s this season at the age of just 15.

He has since netted 15 times this campaign across both the Under-19s and Under-17s, where he has impressed in successive years at the Alkass International Cup in Qatar.

At international level, Glasgow was recently capped by Scotland Under-17s, while he also made his debut for Portugal Under-16s against Italy in December.

Interim Head of Academy, David McCallum, commented: “We are delighted that Kyle has signed his first professional contract with Rangers.

“I’m sure it is a proud moment for him and his family, and it is a reward for the hard work and dedication he has shown throughout his time in the Academy.

“Kyle has earned this opportunity through his commitment every day he comes into the Rangers Training Centre, and he displays a real maturity and hunger to learn and develop as an individual.

“Today is always an important milestone in a young player’s career, but Kyle knows there is still a lot of hard work ahead of him, and he will be supported every step of the way, both on and off the pitch, by the support staff at the club.”
