If you’re looking for a gritty detective drama to binge-watch then you’re in luck, as Crusade is now streaming for free in the UK. With 13 episodes, each averaging 45 minutes, there are plenty of investigations to sink your teeth into this weekend.
Described as “a complex Polish police procedural”, the series follows a homicide detective and his team as they investigate cases in the local area, the victims of which are all public figures.
“Detective Mandżaro (Julian Swiezewski) and his Warsaw crime unit deduce the hidden design linking apparently unrelated crimes, and a city-wide conspiracy is exposed,” reads the synopsis.
The crime drama, titled Krucjata in its native country, debuted in Poland in 2022. Now, UK viewers can watch the action unfold (with subtitles) for free on Channel 4’s streaming service.
Throughout its run, Crusade has garnered a generally positive response from viewers, with IMDb currently reporting a solid average user rating of 6.8/10 from 522 logs. In a 6/10 review, one user said they “enjoyed it”.
