Wests Tigers man Charlie Murray is set to remain at the NRL club, despite reports suggesting he had been offered to Super League clubs.

That’s according to his manager, who as per Zero Tackle, has dismissed suggestions of his client making a move to the Northern Hemisphere.

Murray made his debut for the Tigers earlier this year, with the forward working his way into Benji Marshall’s first team thoughts after initially joining on a train and trial contract just two months prior.

That saw him rewarded with a deal for the 2026 season and named on the club’s development list.

And, in light of reports suggesting a Super League move could be on the cards for him, Murray’s agent has made it clear that he is looking to stay with the Tigers for next season and potentially beyond.

Murray has made two appearances for the Tigers this season, with his debut coming in June against Penrith Panthers. He made his second outing for the NRL club a month later in the narrow win over Sydney Roosters.

He has spent the majority of the season playing in the New South Wales Cup with the Tigers’ second string side Western Suburbs Magpies. He has made 19 appearances for the Magpies, scoring two tries along the way.

Prior to that, the forward, who can play in most positions across the pack, had spent his career in the Queensland Cup with Burleigh Bears, Brisbane Tigers and Tweed Seagulls.

At the age of 23, he fits the bill for those Super League clubs who are looking to add players ahead of their peak years with plenty left to prove. However, it doesn’t look like Murray’s agent is too keen on the possibility of taking him to the Northern Hemisphere at this point, with a year of his contract still to run.
