All Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram services have been cancelled due to “network-wide” power and communications issues.

The disruption follows damage to overhead lines on Thursday, which left services unable to run between certain stops on Friday.

NET said engineers worked through the night to try to fix the issue but, on Saturday morning, announced it had “no tram services operating at any of our stops across the network”.

Joanne Smedley, head of service delivery at NET, apologised for the inconvenience but, in a statement at about 12:40 GMT, said engineers had fixed the problem and aimed to resume services later in the afternoon.
