Could your finances do with a spring clean? Improving financial wellbeing is not just about numbers. It is about mindset, habits and confidence — and the FT’s next free reader event aims to help everyone improve their skills.
Claer Barrett, the FT’s consumer editor, will host an interactive webinar on Thursday March 5 at 13.00 GMT with Megan Archer-Fox. Better known as That Girl In Debt to her many followers on social media, she has chronicled her journey paying off £40,000 worth of credit card debts and her ambition to save the same amount.
Sign up via the free registration link at FT.com/event and you will be able to watch live or on catch up, and submit questions about any aspect of financial wellbeing, including how to reset habits, approach debt responsibly and move forward with greater clarity and confidence — whatever your starting point.

Held close to International Women’s Day, our event reflects the fact that women in the UK are disproportionately affected by problem debt. Nearly two-thirds of debt advice clients at StepChange, the UK debt charity, are women, driven by lower incomes, the cost-of-living crisis, and higher caregiving responsibilities.
The lunchtime webinar is hosted in partnership with FT Flic, the FT’s financial literacy charity, and FT Wellbeing, the employee resource group for FT staff.
