Two teenagers were charged with murder after a stabbing outside the Oldbury Jamia Mosque last Friday (Feb 20)

Two people have been charged with murder after a teenager was stabbed to death outside a Smethwick mosque.

Last Friday (Feb 20), Zeshan Afzal was found with serious injuries following ‘disorder’ on Oldbury Road shortly before 9pm.

The 18-year old was pronounced dead a short time later.

The boys, aged 16 and 17, can’t be named for legal reasons and will appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday ( March 2).

A 17-year-old boy charged with murder appeared at court earlier this week.

He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

Enquires are continuing and West Midlands Police urge anyone who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.
