Less than 24 hours after the Love Island final, ITV has announced the return of hit reality show Big Brother. The new series marks the third for ITV – with the show originally kicking off in 2000 on Channel 4.

The show is expected to kick off this September, with a bunch of hopeful civilians set to have their every move watched by Big Brother for seven weeks, airing on ITV2 and ITVX.

Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best will be back once again – as viewers can expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions, as the housemates go up against each other in hopes of bagging that all important cash prize. It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

More recently, the latest Celebrity Big Brother series took the world by storm when it aired earlier this year, when Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd took home the crown just months before his lavish wedding to Hanni Treweek.

However, it wasn’t Jack who stole the show, infact, it was former Love Island star Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa. The pair struck up an extremely close friendship – although they insisted they were just that. As soon as they left the famous house, JoJo broke up with her partner Kath Ebbs and she shortly went public with Chris.

It’s not uncommon for those in the house to begin a romantic relationship, with Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan, striking up a relationship during the 2023 series.

However, the couple announced their shock split in April, as Henry shared a statement which read: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. “It’s incredible sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you.”

Henry added: “Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”

Jordan also shared his own statement as he sadly wrote: “An unfortunate announcement. After many times, memories, and precious experience, Henry and I have parted ways.

“I want to than everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”
