There’s something a little strange about a Friday evening with no Death in Paradise during Death in Paradise season, but it’s happening. For the second time during its season 15 run, the BBC crime series will not be airing during its designated time as the murder-mystery drama has been pushed from its usual Friday slot of 9pm on BBC One tonight. Instead, the broadcaster will air Match of the Day for the FA Cup game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.

The news was announced earlier this week, but if you’re desperate to return to the drama on Saint Marie instead of the football pitch, we know exactly how you can catch up with episode six of the latest season this Friday evening.

When can I watch Death in Paradise, season 15, episode 6?

There’s no need to wait even an extra day to tune into your favourite detective drama. Earlier this week, Death in Paradise’s official Instagram account shared that the next episode will be available on BBC iPlayer from 8.45pm tonight (Friday 6 March). So if you’re a keen streamer, you’ll be able to find out Mervin’s fate following that tense cliffhanger.

However, those looking for more of a more traditional, terrestrial viewing experience on BBC One will have to wait until Monday 9, when Death in Paradise episode six will air at its usual time of 9pm.

Which means the Death in Paradise season 15 episode 6 release schedule is as follows:

What’s going to happen in Death in Paradise’s next episode?

When we last saw Mervin, he was on his way to visit his half-brother Solomon in Antigua. The detective was hopeful of a reconciliation and a discussion about their late mother’s estate. However, things clearly didn’t go to plan, as episode five closed on a dazed Mervin rousing from a groggy state and finding himself bound by ropes to a chair.

The BBC’s schedule teased what to expect next and it turns out, not only is Mervin a captive, but the detective has inadvertently gotten himself caught up in a crime scene.

The teaser reads: “In a remote cabin, a local businessman has been shot. But Solomon and his associate Cheech both swear the other is responsible. And they’re not letting Mervin go until each one has convinced him of their account. One of them is lying. But who?”

Death in Paradise and its spin-offs, Beyond Paradise and Return to Paradise, air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
