Next week on Casualty, Flynn faces an impossible decision as Siobhan urges him to take revenge on her behalf. Meanwhile, Kim continues to keep secrets from Stevie, and Teddy has a wake-up call.
Here is our round-up of all the biggest moments coming up next week, in the latest episode of the current boxset, ‘Learning Curve’.
1. Flynn makes a worrying decision
BBC
Flynn installs a doorbell camera at Siobhan’s house, but she is still struggling to process the news that the CPS are dropping the charges against her attacker Chris due to a problem with DNA evidence.
She doesn’t believe Flynn’s security plans will make any difference and urges him to take more proactive action by hurting Chris.
Flynn warns Siobhan that violence lives with you forever and that she’ll never be able to undo this decision, but agrees to do it regardless.
2. Teddy and Jacob continue to clash
Alistair Heap//BBC
Jacob tells Teddy that his complaint has been dropped, but it’s clear they are still struggling to get on the same page.
They clash again, and Jacob stands by his belief that Teddy doesn’t fully understand racism, questioning why this isn’t as important to Teddy as it is to him.
3. Kim lies to Stevie
BBC
Stevie confronts Kim over her sloppiness lately, but Kim insists she has just been working too much and is exhausted.
Feeling she has something to prove, Kim persuades Stevie to let her do a complex procedure, which she manages to perform perfectly.
This leaves Stevie to suspect that she has been lying to cover up for Matty. Still struggling with pain, Stevie decides to be honest with Kim about her previous ovarian cancer diagnosis and encourages her to do the same.
Despite this, Kim continues to cover up what is really going on with her, leaving Stevie with no other choice but to supervise her more closely to prevent any more mistakes.
Panicked, Kim approaches Flynn and asks for another mentor.
4. Teddy breaks up with Ashley
BBC
Following his latest row with Jacob, Teddy treats Joyce – a COPD patient. When Teddy swaps out her pulse oximeter for his, she is horrified to see her sats are much lower than she thought.
Jan explains that some pulse oximeters are not properly calibrated for darker skin, and this strikes a chord with Teddy, who is still thinking about Joyce once his shift has ended.
As he catches up with Ashley, he tries to share her excitement that the complaint has been dropped but grows concerned when she insists that “lessons have been learned” and challenges her on this over a drink later.
However, when it becomes clear that Ashley is not at all interested in the institutional bias which caused Joyce’s earlier emergency, Teddy begins to call her out.
Finally recognising her ignorance, Teddy realises it might be time to end their relationship.
5. Siobhan lashes out at Cam
BBC
Siobhan’s behaviour is alarming her colleagues in the ED, and Flynn is horrified when he realises that she’s broken the rules to give him Chris’s address.
Worried, Cam demands to know what Flynn is doing about Chris and later refuses to let Siobhan push him away anymore.
He tells Siobhan that he can relate to what she is going through – but this causes her to snap.
With emotions running high, Siobhan tells Cam that, unlike him, she did everything right by reporting her assault to the police and it has counted for nothing.
A guilty Siobhan quickly realises that she has gone too far and tries to find Cam to apologise, but he has left.
Later, Cam finds Chris’s address, but what is he planning to do?
6. Matty realises the truth
BBC
It’s not just Stevie who has suspicions over Kim, as Matty is also growing increasingly worried about her.
Matty is left confused by Kim’s reaction to his offer of a cupcake, and she later rushes off while treating a patient.
When Matty notices all the cupcakes are gone, he connects the dots and suspects Kim has an eating disorder.
7. Indie feels rejected by Cam
BBC
Cam is distracted by everything going on with Siobhan and forgets about his date with Indie for a second time.
Indie urges Cam to confide in her but is hurt when he rejects her advances, and decides to break up with him.
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
