She’s due in court in Manchester on Monday

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged incident at a Metrolink tram stop in Manchester. Keida Finlayson, 25, of Victoria Crescent, Manchester, is due to make a first court appearence in Manchester on Monday.

Greater Manchester Police, in a statement issued on Sunday, said she’s been charged with a single count of attempted murder.

A woman aged in her 30s was said by police to have suffered a laceration to her head.

Police were called to the West Didsbury tram stop off Lapwing Lane at about 11.45am on March 4.

Finlayson has also been charged with assault which the force said related to a seperate alleged incident.

A GMP spokespersaon said: “She has been remanded to police custody until an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.”

In the statement, the force said: “A woman has been charged following an incident at a tram station in West Didsbury. Keida Finlayson, 20, of Victoria Crescent, Manchester, has been charged with attempted murder, and an assault for an unrelated incident.

“She has been remanded to police custody until an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ on 09/03/2026.

“These charges come after an incident on March 4.”
