Coronation Street’s Webster sisters, Helen Flanagan and Brooke Vincent reunited on Friday for a glam International Women’s Day lunch at the five-star Lowry Hotel, Salford. Glamming up for the special event, Helen, 35, and Brooke, 33, were photographed with their arms around each other as they beamed while posing for photos.

Helen, who played Rosie Webster for 12 years on the ITV soap, wore a pink gingham Coco Fennell dress as she stepped out for the star-studded afternoon. Meanwhile, her former co-star Brooke, who played younger sister Sophie, looked chic in a sophisticated polka dot co-ord from ASOS, with a black hat.

The event itself saw women from across the North West join forces for the glitzy event, which included talks from inspirational speakers. One was singer Lauren Jean, who survived a stroke when she was just 17, before rebuilding her life and going on to run marathons. She used her experience as inspiration and now writes music as a way of processing what she went through as a teen.

Reality TV star Charlotte Dawson was also invited to talk, giving her account of her harrowing ordeal with online trolls and bullies. She told the audience how she found resilience and self-worth in herself after dealing with bullies from her childhood, only to be hounded by trolls.

Charlotte, 33, said: “Oh it’s constant, I just don’t get why people are so nasty? We’re literally all the same human beings, we all go to the toilet the same, why are we nasty to each other? I don’t get it.

“Why can’t we just be nice to each other? Lift each other up and bring each other happiness? It annoys me, it drives me insane, we’re all the same.” And she quipped: “If you don’t like me, you secretly do!! I’m not like Marmite, I’m like Nutella!”

Meanwhile, Helen and Brooke have sparked rumours among Corrie fans after being spotted together at a number of events, with many hoping they will be reunited on-screen. Helen and Brooke share a close friendship, having worked on set together for years as they grew up.

Mum-of-three Helen recently teased a return to the Cobbles after reuniting with Brooke and their on-screen mum, Sally Dynevor, who played Sally Webster. They had stepped out to support Helen in her new role in The Memory of Water at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton.

The trio beamed as they posed for a sweet snap together, with Helen writing: “They came. Love you both so much.” The reunion got fans excited for her to return to Corrie, after the actress has made it clear she would be more than up for reprising her role as Rosie Webster.

One fan wrote: “It’s a family affair,” while another added: “The best role model girls.” A third urged them to get back together on-screen, commenting: “Now bring them both back to Corrie!” Another echoed: “You need to return to the street,” with someone else adding: “We need a Corrie reunion now.”

Helen rose to fame for her role as ditzy Rosie Webster in the ITV soap back in 2000, making her debut at the tender age of nine. She played out a variety of hard hitting storylines, but 12 years after her Weatherfield arrival, Helen announced that she was walking away from the show to pursue other opportunities.

She returned in 2016, but then after her second pregnancy, Helen revealed she was again taking a step back from the programme. In an exclusive interview with the Mirror last year, Helen revealed she wants to return to the soap.

Helen said: “I would love to go back to Coronation Street. I’m at home in Bolton which means I will be able to work around the kids.”
