Sonay Kartal seems to have regained a bit of form as she picks up back to back wins in the desert, for the first time since reaching the Abu Dhabu quarter-final. She faces Madison Keys in a night match.

Not surprisingly Keys bests Kartal on all but one stat, and as such the former Australian Open champion comes in as the favourite, in front of a home night crowd.
Playing Styles & Prediction
The big-striking Keys will want to avoid the need to save as many break-points as she did in her opener, having taken a long break since being bounced out of her title defence in the fourth round in Melbourne.
Kartal, by contrast, saved a match-point and really turned up the pressure in the final set tie-breal to book her sport.
Kartal will have to be at her best in terms of the variety she can bring to the court. Keys will look to dominate with first-strike tennis. Kartal might not have the weapons to out-power the American, so she will need to throw in all her tricks.
Prediction: Keys in three sets.
