“I haven’t seen it since but I know that other denizens of Gosport have seen a seal that visits the marina and swims near people’s yachts, it may be the same one.”
The sighting happened in the creek itself at the furthest point from the Solent.
The IT support desk manager lives on the border between Alverstoke and Leesland in Gosport.
Despite growing up in Alverstoke and spending a lot of his time near the creek in his youth this was the first time he had seen one in the creek itself.
During the summer months the creek is a popular spot for water sports with stand up paddle boarding and kayaking taking place.
