Netflix has set a May 1st release date for “Swapped,” its Michael B. Jordan-led animated feature which also stars Juno Temple, Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Justina Machado, Ambika Mod, and Lolly Adefope.
The buddy comedy follows a small woodland creature (Jordan) and a majestic bird (Juno Temple) — natural sworn enemies of The Valley — who suddenly swap bodies and must team up (while walking in each other’s feathers and fur) to survive the wildest adventure of their lives. [Source: Netflix]

FX won’t move forward with a new crime drama series from “The Sopranos” creator David Chase. The untitled witness protection project was commissioned to pilot with Alison Brie playing a high end Washington D.C. madam who enters the program. Pablo Schreiber, Zoë Chao, Jamie Neumann, Aidan Gillen, Ashley Thomas and Finn Wittrock also starred. Hannah Fidell and Gina Welch wrote and executive produced. [Source: Deadline]
Studio Ghibli
GKIDS has announced that two acclaimed Studio Ghibli titles will be returning to theaters in their newly remastered 4K versions. 1995’s “Whisper of the Heart” and 2010’s “The Secret World of Arrietty” will officially debut in IMAX theatres for the first time on April 21st and May 19th respectively. Showings will both be in the original Japanese language with subtitles and English language dubbed versions. [Source: GKIDS]
