A man has died after he was hit by a car in Moss Side. Emergency services rushed to Princess Road after two people heading in the opposite direction were struck by the vehicle on Sunday (March 8).

They were taken to hospital for treatment. One pedestrian, a 29-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries but the other, a 48-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries.

The man sadly passed away from his injuries today (March 13), GMP have said.

As part of an investigation, GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is asking for anyone with information to please come forward. This includes anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage from the area.

On Sunday, the force said one man had been arrested following the crash.
