U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that „in one way or another,” the United States will soon unlock the Strait of Hormuz and make it „safe and free!” He mentioned that he hopes that more countries, including the United Kingdom, France, and China, will send warships there.
After criticizing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for the conditions offered to the United States in the Iran war, Donald Trump hopes that the United Kingdom and other countries will send warships to help open the Strait of Hormuz.
“Many countries, especially those affected by Iran’s attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz, will send warships, along with the United States of America, to keep the strait open and safe.
“We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s military capacity, but it is easy for them to send a drone or two, launch a mine, or fire a small-range missile somewhere along or in this waterway, no matter how severely defeated they may be,” wrote the U.S. President on his social media platform, Truth Social.
“We hope that China, France, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and others affected by this artificial constraint will send ships to the area, so that the Strait of Hormuz is no longer a threat to a nation that has been completely decapitated,” the U.S. President wrote.
“Meanwhile, the United States will bombard the shore and continuously shoot Iranian boats and ships out of the water. In one way or another, we will soon have the Strait of Hormuz OPEN, SAFE, and FREE,” he concluded.
However, the United Kingdom has not indicated that it will send ships near the strait, as reported by Sky News.

Trump’s message comes after harshly criticizing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for refusing to allow American bombers to take off from air bases in the United Kingdom. Starmer refused to authorize operations other than “defensive” ones from Royal Air Force facilities in the United Kingdom and British bases overseas.
Following London’s conditional agreement, Trump mocked Starmer, saying it took him “too long” to change his mind. “Such a thing has probably never happened between our countries. It seems he (Starmer) was concerned about legality,” the U.S. President said.
At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron – a friend and critic of Washington – called the war against Iran dangerous, warning that it does not respect international law and cannot be supported.
Moreover, the Trump administration launched a trade war with Beijing, and the new national security strategy published by the White House mentions that America will shift its military focus from protecting Europe to deterring China.
