“After speaking with neighbours it’s only been getting worse.
“So many people walk their dogs around here, children play here and it’s just not safe. It’s disgusting.
“It is unsafe and acceptable. The neighbourhood looks like one huge rubbish dump.”

Martyna said the area was the paths and park running behind Fairfax Road and Cowley Road.
She and fellow residents have reported their concerns to Preston City Council who say they are taking action to clean up the area.
A city council spokesperson told Blog Preston: “The fly-tipping around Brookfield Park has been investigated by enforcement officers and appropriate action is being taken including removal.
“Regarding the reported ‘dead rodents’, we can confirm these have been removed from the Park on Wednesday 11 March. We would like to thank the resident who reported these issues.
“If any other residents have similar concerns, please let us know via the Preston City Council report it forms on the website or contact centre so we can investigate promptly.”
Anyone can report concerns about littering, rodents and fly-tipping via the city council website.
Ribbleton was recently awarded a major funding boost – under the government’s Pride in Place scheme with £20million due to be spent on the area of the city over the next decade.
An independent chairperson is currently being appointed to oversee what the funds are spent on – in conjunction with the community, Preston City Council and Preston’s MP Sir Mark Hendrick.
