A returning BBC thriller has kept viewers hooked with new episodes on Sunday nights, but many fans have been left with the same frustration.
The Capture stars Holliday Grainger as investigator Rachel Carey, who specialises in deepfake conspiracies as a programme known as Correction is hijacked by criminals to spread misinformation and avoid detection.
In the third series, which began last Sunday (8th March) on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, Carey is the Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism Command (SO15), which becomes compromised when an assassin infiltrates their ranks under the guise of her new Commander, Noah Pierson (played by Killian Scott).
However, her colleagues refuse to believe Pierson is their prime suspect as Carey was the only eyewitness and footage from the devastating shooting that kicked off the latest mystery shows a different man committing the crime.
With the odds stacked against her, Carey must remain steadfast on her version of events to prove that the culprit SO15 is looking for is operating right under their noses.

Fans tuning into both the live broadcast and as episodes are made available earlier on iPlayer have been riveted by the series so far.
In fact, many have expressed frustration that the BBC has opted for a weekly release schedule, rather than streaming all six episodes of the new series from the off.
Several took to X when the second episode aired to plead for the rest of the new series.
One user posted: “An open tweet to @BBCOne and @BBCiPlayer:
“I am politely asking you to release the remaining episodes of #TheCapture onto iPlayer.

“2 episodes in, and the 7 day wait for the next episode is torture. The suspense is killing me! I need to binge watch it! Urgently!”
“I wish they released all episodes of The Capture at once,” someone else agreed. “Such a shame they haven’t just released the whole series on iPlayer. Got to wait another week now……” another post read.
Another admitted: “Episode 1 of The Capture was mad, I should have waited for all the episodes to drop first.”
Someone else fumed: “BBC being stingy when it comes to giving us The Capture episodes [eye roll emoji].” And someone else asked: “Are we not getting all episodes online.”

And a final fan questioned: “Now why would I play myself and watch The Capture when not all the episodes are out.”
Episode two featured an intense confrontation between Carey and Pierson, who refused to let his mask slip, leaving fans in the dark as to how he managed to pull off the mind-boggling scheme.
“The interrogation scene in #TheCapture was the best since #LineOfDuty. Playful and menacing all at once,” one viewer praised.
And another fan agreed: “The Capture is sensational television. Elite British TV drama. Right up there with Line of Duty.”
The Capture series 3 continues Sundays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
