Is it an awards’ ceremony without a Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet date night?
Supporting her boyfriend of three years for his Best Actor nomination for Marty Supreme (an accolade he lost out on to Sinners’ Michael B Jordan), Kylie skipped the Oscars red carpet – as she often does – joining Timmy later in the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
But even before the pictures emerged of the happy couple from the hall, Kylie revealed her look on Instagram and TikTok. The 28-year-old opted for a dazzlingly sparkly red dress by Schiaparelli, featuring a floor-length silhouette, deep V-neckline and a keyhole cut-out on the front, complete with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.
Floor-length, glittering, siren red – it’s giving Jessica Rabbit, and Kylie herself even noted the resemblance captioning the post: “Jessica who?”.
But Jessica Rabbit wasn’t the only inspiration behind the look. Taking to IG Stories, Kylie posted a zoomed in photo of a bright-red car, adding ‘color reference’ and tagging Shiaparelli’s creative director, Daniel Roseberry. Was Kylie’s look in fact a nod to fellow Best Picture nominee, F1?

Timothée, on the other hand, wore a colour-blocked white tuxedo for his red carpet look. It seems the couple decided to pivot away from the viral couples’ dressing of red carpets past. In December, at the LA premiere of Marty Supreme, the couple wore matching, custom-made Chrome Hearts outfits in a daring orange hue. So iconic was the look, that Hacks’ Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs recreated it at the Critics Choice Awards earlier this year.
