Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been praised by former star Rio Ferdinand.
After his man of the match performance in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa, Bruno Fernandes has been taking plenty of plaudits.
Fernandes provided two assists to reach 16 for the season, setting a club record. He is closing in on the Premier League’s best-ever tally of 20 in a single campaign.
Former star Rio Ferdinand believes that United’s trio of new attackers will still be pinching themselves at how fortunate they are to play alongside him.

Rio Ferdinand believes Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko will all be astounded at just how good Bruno Fernandes really is.
All three players have benefited from Fernandes’ creativity, with the Portugal international creating more chances than any player in the Premier League.
Ferdinand told his YouTube channel: “He’s the best, most creative midfielder in the world right now.
“The form that he is in, what he’s producing. The game at the weekend, he put Sesko in with his left foot. Unbelievable defence-splitting pass.
“He sees openings that others dream about, let alone have the audacity to try. It’s phenomenal.”
Ferdinand explained that Fernandes benefits from the runs Sesko, Mbeumo and Cunha make – but the benefit is clearly mutual.
“As good as you can be yourself, you always need teammates in different capacities. And he needs people to finish off the chances he’s creating. That’s the great thing.
“When those guys [Sesko, Mbeumo, Cunha] come into the dressing room, they are looking around going ‘I’ve never seen anything like this, if I run, the ball arrives’.”
Ferdinand added that Fernandes’ creativity gives the players extra incentive to take risks, adding: “It’s hard to run thinking ‘the ball probably isn’t going to come’.”

Bruno Fernandes insists his full focus is on helping Manchester United secure Champions League football, rather than achieving individual success.
He told MUTV: “Scoring goals and assisting is a big part of my game. I’m very pleased today worked out and made us win the game.
“Until the end of the season, I want to try to keep helping the team and improving on that, results-wise.”
