Hull KR have confirmed a major blow with star forward Rhyse Martin suffering a broken foot in the Challenge Cup win over Huddersfield Giants.
Martin was on good form in that game with the second-row forward kicking eight from nine conversions but he’s now set for a spell on the sideline with the club confirming his injury via social media.
A statement on the club’s X account revealed that Martin will miss the next ‘month of action’ which is a major blow, particularly given the fact fellow goal-kicker Arthur Mourgue is also injured.
It likely means that the kicking duties will fall to Mikey Lewis though in the past we have also seen Jez Litten take the tee.

Posting on X, the Robins announced: “Hull KR can confirm Rhyse Martin sustained a broken foot in the win over Huddersfield and will miss the next month of action.”
In Martin’s second year at the club, it’s his second serious injury with last season’s quadriceps injury ruling him out for a significant chunk of the season. Martin went down early against Salford Red Devils in round four and didn’t make a return until the second half of the year.
Thus far in 2026, Martin has played in all three Super League matches, as well as the World Club Challenge win over Brisbane Broncos.
Hull KR, who fly to France to face Catalans Dragons this week, will hope that James Batchelor (hip) is back in contention, though Tom Whitehead also fared well this past Sunday with the ex-Wire man scoring the opening try.
