Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro spoke directly to concerns about ticket pricing and park attendance during the Walt Disney Company’s Annual Shareholder Meeting today, acknowledging that a Disney park visit is a “meaningful investment for families.”

When asked how Disney balances revenue growth with guest satisfaction, D’Amaro pointed to guest experience ratings and intent-to-return scores as the primary benchmarks the company tracks.

“Our goal is for every single guest to feel that their experience is worth it,” D’Amaro said. “Basically, we want this experience to be the best day of a guest’s life.”

He said both metrics are currently “very high across all of our parks.”

On pricing, D’Amaro emphasized flexibility over flat increases. Disney’s approach centers on offering multiple price points – value season dates, multi-day ticket savings, and periodic special offers — so families can find options that work for their budget.

D’Amaro highlighted two active promotions during his remarks:

Disneyland: A kids ticket offer allowing children to visit for $50 per day
Walt Disney World: A kids free dining promotion and vacation packages

He also noted that managing daily attendance is part of how Disney protects the overall guest experience, linking crowd control directly to satisfaction outcomes rather than treating it purely as a revenue lever.
