The historic layout has reopened after a multi-million pound renovation project.

Not many golfers can say they’ve played golf at a venue that is prominent in two James Bond films. Not many can also say they’ve played the vaunted Harry Colt par-3 that proved the inspiration for Augusta National’s famous 16th hole.

But now, Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire is back welcoming new guests again and, after completing the initial stages of a multi-million pound renovation project, visitors can return to one of the game’s most prestigious and unique locations in the UK.

Green fees are £155 ($206) on weekdays and £175 ($233) between Friday to Sunday for the spring/summer 2026 season. The Colt layout on the outskirts of London now has its own golf specific clubhouse too, built close to its extensive driving range and practice areas.

Stuart Collier, Director of Golf at Stoke Park, said: “The major investment that the owners have made has allowed us to provide golfers with an exceptional experience. Being able to welcome more visitors to the venue for the new season is hugely exciting, particularly at those times when courses of such quality aren’t available to visitors.

“The new clubhouse gives golfers more of a connection to the practice area, with easy access to the first tee. There is an inclusive feel to the clubhouse that puts golfers, quite rightly, in the heart of a golfing environment.”

Stoke Park

The course, carved into the idyllic 300-acre estate in Stoke Poges, was featured in the 1965 Bond film Goldfinger and made a return to cinema screens in 1997 with Tomorrow Never Dies.

Dating back to 1908, the Colt design features the signature par-3 7th, the inspiration for the hole which has defined many Masters tournaments.

“This is a very special place, and visitors get a real sense of this when they arrive on the property,” Collier added. “And it only gets better as you wind your way through the mature woodland and take in the beautiful scenery. It’s been immensely satisfying to watch the estate enter its next phase, and we’re looking forward to golfers experiencing Stoke Park this season.”
