Como are willing to listen to offers for Nicolas Kuhn less than seven months on from his big money move from Celtic – according to a report.
After a prolific season in which he bagged 21 goals in all competitions for the Hoops, Serie A high-flyers Como forked out £18million to bring the ex Bayern Munich kid to Lombardy last summer.
However, things haven’t gone to plan for Kuhn. In his 22 appearances in all competitions, the 26-year-old has started just six times, registering a single goal and assist.
Kuhn has struggled to break into a Como team that are in pole position to claim a Champions League qualification spot for next season.
Cesc Fabregas’ team – who’s Djarum ownership group headed by brothers Michael Bambang Hartono Robert Budi Hartono are among the wealthiest backers in football – sit in fourth place, one point ahead of Turin giants Juventus with nine games to play.
With European football a likely sight at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia next season, World Cup winner Fabregas will already have one eye on the upcoming transfer windowe.
And it’s claimed that the Spaniard has greenlight the decision to place Kuhn on the transfer list. Tuttomercatoweb claim that Fabregas and sporting director Carlalberto Ludi will be willing to entertain offers of just over £10million for the player, a substantial loss on the fee they paid Celtic for his services last August.
The same source also add that Fabregas has eyed up a replacement for the winger. They claim that Frankfurt’s Algerian international Fares Chaibi is on Como’s radar.
